Commissions by one of Cornwall's leading contemporary paper collage artists.
I would love to create something truly personal for you a handmade paper collage of a place that holds a special meaning, whether that's a favourite Cornish beach, a family home, a holiday memory, or somewhere entirely your own.
Each commission is built entirely from torn pieces of recycled magazines and junk mail, giving every scene its distinctive texture and warmth. No two pieces are ever the same.
Featured commission: Plymouth Railway Station
I was commissioned to create a large-scale installation at Plymouth Railway Station for Great Scenic Railways and the National Trust, as part of their campaign to promote and celebrate the beautiful Tamar Valley. It's a wonderful example of how collage art can bring a landscape to life and I'm incredibly proud to have my work displayed in such a prominent public space.
Exhibitions and open studios
My work has been exhibited at The Poly in Falmouth, and I exhibit regularly as part of Cornwall Open Studios giving collectors and art lovers the chance to visit my studio, see commissions in progress and discuss ideas in person.
Community workshops
I also love sharing the joy of collage with others. I recently ran a workshop with pupils at Calstock Primary School, and their wonderful collages are now displayed alongside mine as part of the installation a truly special collaboration between young artists and the local community.
How it works
Get in touch and we'll talk through your ideas. I can help you decide on size, subject, layout, colour and timescale and I'll send you updates as the collage takes shape. Once complete, I'll have it professionally framed by my local framer and send it to you gift wrapped if you'd like by special delivery.
Commissions also make a wonderful and truly unique birthday, anniversary, or housewarming gift.
1. Choose a photo!
Send me a message to discuss your ideas and get a quote. I'll assist you in choosing the size, subject, layout, colour, and timeline.
2. Creation Process
The creation process begins by collecting a variety of recycled paper materials, such as old magazines and junk mail. These materials are then torn and layered to create a unique collage. This method not only produces beautiful art but also promotes recycling and sustainability by repurposing discarded materials. Throughout this stage, I will keep you updated on the progress of your collage.
3. Quality Framing
Once the collage is complete, your artwork will then go on to be framed. It will be encased in a custom white wooden frame with a double mount, crafted by a local framer and finished with protective UV glass to ensure longevity and quality.
4. Delivery
Finally, the finished piece will be carefully packaged and shipped to you via special delivery. Gift wrapping is available upon request to add that extra special touch.
